Forever Be

Faint, weary, and broken-hearted,
This feeling inside of me.
Bruised and completely broken,
I feel I will forever be.
But great are you, oh God,
Patient in love with me.
Ever powerful and understanding
You will forever be.
I try to do it myself,
I am weak and powerless, you see.
I need your strength and love, oh Lord,
Graceful you will forever be.
I feel completely helpless,
So frail and so weak.
I cannot do it alone,
Your provision I must seek.
Your love surpasses all understanding,
Christ Jesus died for me.
He carried my sins and failings
And nailed them to the tree.
So comfort me, oh God,
Love never ceasing for me.
Unchanging, everlasting, never failing,
You will forever be.

Isaiah 40:28-31

"28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
