Some of us planned to be in different countries all around but something happened to all of us to bring us here to Ghana. In all OUR imperfections, we saw God's perfection. Perfect Imperfection. (which you can read in my previous post which is also the first part of this update)
That group got the opportunity to travel to cape coast yesterday. For those of you who do not know the significance of Cape Coast, a slave castle is located there. It was difficult (heartbreaking mostly) to think of how people have been treated. As one member said it "looking through those windows, all I could see were the faces of slaves staring back at me. It is really heartbreaking". I'd have to agree. There is also a national park where you walk the "Canopy Walkway"............ you walk on rope bridges that are suspended high up in the trees over the African rain forest. For somebody who is afraid of heights, it was pretty sweet ;) below are some of the pictures, one of the bridges that we walked on and the other of our team by the ocean behind the castle.
A final request: Half of the team heads back home on Friday (July 31st, one member actually leaves the evening of the 30th). Please pray for their travel back the states. One of the members has malaria so please pray she continues the healing process. As for the remaining 6 of us, we have had our ups and downs health wise. Pray that we continue to remain healthy the remainder of this trip (August 15th). Love you all!!!!

A pretty picture I took while we were at camp that I thought I'd share with you.
