This is my prayer to you, Lord God,
That you may give me a clear mind to focus on you,
A pure heart to love like you do.
The feet to carry your Word to the lost,
The arms to comfort the hurt,
The eyes to see the broken and bruised,
The ears to hear all who cry out for You.
Give me the strength to love,
The power to stand strong in you,
The endurance and patience to withstand the sufferings of this life,
For you are my rock and my fortress.
Give me the love to love like you do,
The love you blessed me with in friendship.
The blessings of friends who know you,
Who never stopped loving me no matter what we went through.
Friends who share and endure my sufferings and trials,
Who’s love and comfort has kept me alive,
Love to point me back towards you,
Encouraging me on in my relationship with you.
Thank you for their relationship with you,
For your blessing of love and patience in their lives.
Thank you, Lord God, for the brothers and sisters I have in you,
Bless them in the fullness of our grace and love.
It’s in your name I pray.
Amen.
